We Built it Because it Didn't Exist.
Jono drove an hour to St Kilda every week in winter just to get in cold water. The sea baths, the ocean, the steam. An hour each way. He kept going for years not because he loved the commute, but because nothing closer gave him what he was looking for.
That pattern showed up everywhere. The thing he wanted never quite existed yet. So eventually he stopped waiting and started building it.
The Gap
Most homes are built by people who will never live in them, for people they will never meet. Every decision optimised for margin. It's why so many houses feel slightly wrong in a way you can't name.
The Response
Homey exists to put someone in the middle who actually cares. Not a builder. Not an architect. Someone whose entire job is to hold the vision of the person living inside it.
Twenty Years on Site.
Jono grew up ten minutes from where he's building now. He was on sites before he could legally work them, bought his first property at seventeen, and scaled a construction company to six million a year before he was thirty.

Alba House is the Proof
Alba House is the first home built entirely to the Homey Standard. Clean air, engineered water, a sleep environment without EMF, materials that don't poison, light that follows the rhythm of the day. Every decision made for the person living inside it.
